THIS IS TROUBLE

From the dancing...

To the outfits...

There is nothing kosher about this video.

I love to see children dance. I love Beyonce's 'Single Ladies' song.

But the combination here, well, me no likey at all, at all.

What do you guys think?

PS: Book Review Week is coming. More information on Monday. Hope you are all doing well...

Saw it on Facebook too. It was a bit worrying.

I was hoping to be first, oh well!

I loved the dancing, the girls must have practiced quite a bit. The only thing I don't like is the dressing, it would have helped if they covered up more.

I don't know about little kids dancing and dressing like this.....haba!

Actually saw the parents and studio owner defending this just now on Inside Edition.

Hmmmmm......they said there was nothing sexual about the moves.....
Maybe they are right because the little girls don't have jiggly bits as yet, but there's no excuse for those skimpy outfits on 8-9yr olds.
And whether they admit it or not, their intention was to "sexify" the performance.

The kids have amazing talent, it's just unfortunate that the adults are not harnessing it properly.

All I have to say is thank God they're white because if they had been Black that's how everyone would have said that Black children are prostitutes but who can be surprised since they all listen to Hip Hop.

I think it would have been fine if they hadn't dressed those little girls like grown women.

I don't even think the amount of skin they're showing is problematic. Little children run around naked in Nigeria after all. The fact that the children are nearly naked is not the problem.

The problem here is that the clothes they are wearing specifically symbolise adult female sexuality and when combined with such a young wearer the whole thing becomes creepy and inappropriate.

I would have preferred for them to be wearing something girlish and cute no matter how scanty or fully covered it may be.

Their lack of clothing is not the problem but what is truly sad about this video is that whoever dressed them up in those outfits thought that little girls should be trying to project mature adult sexuality.

They're only kids. Whoever was in charge of their outfits should have let them be kids and put them in some fun, brightly coloured, child-friendly clothing.

I have a huge problem with the vid!! Why were the kids wearing faux bras and panties..whatever happened to tutus and good old classical Bach?? even if they wanted to go new age, why the "uber-adult" song really? mtschew!

Not intended to be sexual??? Half naked + suggestive gyrating = SEXUAL! And they are 8??? If only their ages were doubled and then some... This might fly but definitely not right now...

the girls are really talentedl. the only disturbing thing to me is the outfits.....pure sexual outfits and they must have been told to make the performance look appealing (in a sexual way)

Oh no, not good..at all.. the get-up, the Beyonce-ful moves..i think they did ive an impressive performance but i think it's the get-up that disturbed me the most..at that age?

I agree with you...

Well, all that would have made it really sexual is if the girls had some bouncy boobs and bigger bums. No one would argue its decency or otherwise then.
What did we expect? Our kids would soak in all they do on TV and it there won't be repercussions? It's just a matter of time before somethng similar is replicated in Nigeria.

Somehow, the video doesn't make me think of nursery rhymes...

Why was it made anyway? Definitely not Inter-house sports?

What happened to the days of "Mummy can I wear what Beyonce is wearing in that video?"

Answer: "No. Turn the TV off right now."
