I THINK HE WANTS TO BE A NUDIST

One of my children has shown an interesting characteristic. Regular readers probably know who. =)
Every afternoon during nap time, he takes off his diaper, strips out of his clothes and chooses to relax in his 'birthday suit'.
It has been so infuriating trying to stop him from doing this every single day! Sometimes, he pees on his bed. Other times he, well...you all know what he does, right?
But, you know what really drives me nuts? Its how happy the boy is when I find him. Let's just say he's holding his own nuts, with a thumb in his mouth and super happy!
My husband finds my frustration entertaining and has determined that his son enjoys being naked and maybe its not such a bad thing. lol! God help me! I live in a house with three men and its just my daughter and me repping for the double X (XX) chromosomes. One son wants to run around the yard naked, the other wants to relax holding onto his...um...junk. And, my husband? I won't even go there.
I will not drown in a sea of testosterone. And, I won't let my son be a nudist, at least not until he's old enough to make that decision for himself.

They'll grow out of it. Vaguely recall some stuff about it from a developmental psych class i took in college.
I remember not wanting to wear clothes at all @ 3yrs. Weird that i have that memory. Look at me now, i'm fine. I think. ;)

Ummm, I with you. You better curb that naked enthusiam now, because if he grows up and decides he wants to be a nudist, you won't be able to do anything about it then. I speak from experience.
As a kid, I didn't like wearing clothes, but I was sharp enough to keep them on when visitors were around. My parents didn't think much of it, cos I always had one rash or the other, so there was something to blame for my nudity.
Now, I'm sure they wish they had enforced clothes, because they can't even say - 'and she never used to be like that o'.

I am now convinced that this is something common with the little ones. I have come across too many children that like the hanging out naked thing for it to be a coincidence. It's like the clothes are restricing their freedom or something. I'm not sure what your chances are of stopping him, maybe you'll have better luck keeping it from the view of guests. I can just imagine a visitor's face as you guys try to explain what Bomboy (i think)is doing.

My nephew did that too...but he grew out of it. No biggie. As for your husband, make him clean up some of the mess his son makes, maybe that will get him to understand your 'frustrations'. Ha ha!

Maybe i shd get my 2 yr old nephew to come give him a pep talk. I was giving him a bath one day and he just said, "No dont touch it, it's a penis not a toy, Mama said its private part!" I was so shocked.
Kids will be kids, in a couple yrs he will prolly deny any recollection of this.

Mr. Bomboy in motion kuwa. When I was little I never liked wearing clothes either, and when I finally got used to them I changed clothes several times a day (my Aunty stcuk with washing them is resting now, thank God).
Thank you for checking up on me. I have stopped blogging (for the time being) but nothing at all stops me from reading your blogs- from smart grid technology to jealous bfs, lol.

when my brother was a kid, he loved to hold his...whatever and suck his thumb, he has four sisters and a mum who would always drag out his hand, until he stopped. success with your son

Oh, all kids do that. Very natural, just leave him, he'll grow out of it. One of my friend's kids dry humps everything in his sight...
I always wore clothes as a kid but now, as an adult...the moment I get home, I remove all my clothes and walk about in pant. Nobody ever visits me except my neighbour perhaps, then i just throw on my morning coat. Even as I am typing this, I am lying on my bed naked. Village life would have suited me, i for just waka around with wrapper for chest...i no for wear pant self...

i feel like i'm reading abt my boy..at first, i was confused now i just shake my head and put the clothes back on him as many times as possible,it gets tiring tho..
Now,my girl has joined and is even trying to surpass him and when my neighbour's daughter is around,i haave group of kids who systematically take off their clothes..
i don give up!!
