THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING KOBOKO

Happy Monday, my people. How are you all? I hope all is well.

Well, as the title indicates, there is an ongoing mystery in my humble abode. I am making a special call to all of you who specialized in reading 'Hardy Boys', 'Nancy Drew', 'Secret Seven' and other sleuth books. Please read this post very carefully because your skills are now needed to solve an ongoing mystery.

Remember my post about the 'wife leader'? You know, the one I use to discipline The King? Well, my 'wife leader' has gone missing. It's been missing for the last week and I am becoming nervous because although the 'wife leader' substituted for a koboko when necessary, it was extremely effective as a psychological tool to get TK and TE to behave whenever they got naughty.

As you all know from reading the 'Disciplining The King' post, the wife leader had its own dedicated resting place atop TK's bedroom door.
Well, here's what it looks like now!
Can you believe it??????

So, here is what I need you guys to help me do, particularly all the sleuth-inclined readers. Solve the mystery, figure out WHERE IS THE WIFE LEADER?

The suspects are as follows:
  1. HUSBAND: He has unequivocally denied touching the thing and even claims to not know that it was ever located atop the door. I am not sure if I believe him because, quite frankly, at over 6 feet, he is the only person that could have reached the wife leader...
  2. THE ENFORCER: That girl is capable of using the 'koboko' to wollop her brothers. I hear her in the morning barking orders at them. But, I think that if she had seen it fall to the ground, she would have told me.
  3. THE KING: Being that he has been the main reason why the wife leader emerged in the first place, I can imagine him slamming his bedroom door enough times until the poor wife leader dropped right in front of his door. Furthermore, I can see him picking it up and hiding it in one of his numerous hiding places. If that is the case, I will probably never find my wife leader again. **sniff, sniff**
  4. OFFICER BOMBOY: His dimpled smile and bright eyes have fooled many an unsuspecting aunty or uncle, but not me. Oh no! I know he is capable of finding the wife leader on the floor and playing with it without informing me. The only puzzle is where he would hide it. Bomboy isn't that skilled at hiding things like his older siblings, but I still would never put anything past him.
  5. SOLOMONSYDELLE: It wouldn't be a proper mystery investigation if every angle wasn't analyzed. So, for that reason I will volunteer myself to be added to the suspect list. But, I can assure you all that I had absolutely nothing to do with the disappearance of the wife leader. I am desperately seeking the return of my trusty obedience enforcement device. Hence, my request for all your help!
So, any takers? No, really, any takers? Please help!!!!

PS, did you visit Nigerian Curiosity to join in the Mother's Day (US/Canada) celebration? And, just in case you were wondering, I had an excellent Mother's Day! I woke up to a large diaper box filled with my favorite spicy chips, which was later followed by an incredible lunch (and I do mean incredible) at Eastern Moon (a new neighborhood restaurant) and the day ended with my real present - a new Belgian waffle maker (which replaces my old one that died recently)!

This weekend is Godmother's Day and I am waiting to hear where my children's godmother's will decide to go to. Abeg, let's pray they don't carry me to some place that charges $100 per plate because that will mean a large bill for me to pay. lol!

Anyway, don't forget, your help is needed to solve the mystery...

The King did it,of course. He had motive AND opportunity.Hand him over to me and I shall extract a signed and witnessed confession. Then you can send him to Guantanamo.Lol.

Hahahaha... I can't wait to see how this mystery is solved.
This is serious!
I feel sorry for "the King", why is everyone on his case?
I strongly suspect "husband", on second thought it could have been "the enforcer"... this is hard. Sherlock Holmes, where u @? lol

Smaragd said...

I totally copy and paste NINE except for the fact that TK as a suspect is too obvious.

my second Suspect is Dad, u wldnt suspect him, but when u investigate thoroughly, u'll prob find that he has motive and no alibi.

Last suspect, all bloggers who wanted one and those who didnt support u having it. i rest my case.

Play, "Who stole the meat from the cooking pot", but replace "meat" and "cooking pot" with the appropriate missing items. And you might want to replace "stole" with something less criminal-related.

Sooner or later, someone would get bored and crack.

Goodluck finding it! :-)

From being a regular fan of The Nancy Drew Files, I will explain the mystery of the missing "wife leader."

The following questions will be answered:

Who uses the wife-leader on other people? SOLOMONSYDELLE.

Who are the people she uses it to psychologically affect? THE ENFORCER and THE KING. I declare the officer bomboy is too young to understand the psychological effects.

During the period of the use of the wife-beater, whose full attention does Solomonsydelle have? TE and TK. Basically, lets just say that officer bomboy and hubby are NEGLECTED.

Conclusion: No matter how many times TK bangs his room door, I do not think the wife beater would have dropped. Therefore he must have needed extra help. TE is obedient most of time, as opposed to TK. Therefore, TK must have recruited hubby, and due to NEGLECT hubby must have obliged. My hypothesis is that hubby carried TK on his shoulders after some begging, and TK used his hands to remove the wife-beater. And they both agreed not to say anything...lollll.

Afrobabe said...

lmao...how did I miss this???

I think husband did it...he probably read the first wife leader post...

but on second thoughts, If I was TK I would have done it...lol

soupasexy said...

ok my own opinion is that husband did it..he doesnt want u to hurt his kids with it....well, that door dont look like something can fall from the top of it when pushed, so i dont think the kids did it...so interogate hubby some poor..threaten to cut his fingers and he'll say the truth..lol

Ollay said...

I can see you rule your home with iron fists hehehehe...i think the King is the culprit here but if you find out the real offender, i would be very interested in knowing how it went missing.

dat one okrika girl...xyz said...

Hmm who ever did it get liver sha, me or my siblings would dare not touch the wife leader for fear of the dangerous reprecautions.
I’m just wondering if you have a backup wife leader.

Toochi said...

i personally suspect ur hubby!!! hehhee!
i think u might have to question everyone one by one!!!

Sting said...

What??!!! You've been sabotaged. I can't believe this people. How well do u trust ur husband, cos in this instance i don't. On the other hand, the slamming the door repeatedly to make the "koboko" fall theory sounds plausible.......... hmmm.

Your case is difficult. See me tomorrow.

Toluwa Lase said...

it doesnt seem like the wife leader would fall off that door, so am guessing that it was husband.

Ahh, how did I miss this? Anyways my main suspects are Husband and The King (probably working together) but then that seems too obvious...need to discuss this with Monsieur Hercule Poirot and get back to you. If I haven't said this before..I really love your blog! Happy Mother's Day..sorry it's late but we celebrated our's ages ago!

Your huzby is guilty jare

NigerianDramaQueen said...

hehehehehehe either ur husband got sneaky or your kids got really creative and found a way to reach the door.this is sooo funny!

Marin said...

I suspect your hubby. As a good student of Agatha Christies - the most obvious suspect is usually the right one. Maybe he decided to use the wife leader for the purpose it was designed 'to lead SS' LOL

chichi said...

funny post; i think u lot shud be on tv 4 real tho!!!

Miss Pearse said...

Ahaa...I know who did it.

It was YOU...Solomonsydyelle.
You hid the wife leader so you

1)...could get 'Husband' to get you a new one,...that way you have two baby humblers, a.k.a wife leaders to use to terrorize d boys.

2)... could get the boys all Happy and relived that the Wife Leader was gone just so you can burst thier bubble by springing it out unexpectedly when they decide to misbehave

and 3)...You forgot to buy your sister in-law/sister/lawyer/friend/soccer coach a gift for her birthday and the Wife Leader was d closest thing in sight.

You can tell I was a dedicated reader of "Adventures of Tin-Tin"..hehehe

Sprezatura said...

The boys did it, am sure you did they same as a kid, to get your thing back, send everyone on compulsry, dry fasting. By the way my blog is free of any spam or virus, i thin the problem is from your end

darkelcee said...

ok my take on this,

wife leader/ koboko grew wings and flew away to the land beyond.

the guy got tired of just been there and went in search of some fun.

sorry sis, its gone for good!

Jarrai said...

I suspect the "enforcer". Yes, she is the one. I believe she got the Husband involved in getting the object under the pretence that she hates seeing you threaten her dear brothers and is using it to be "woman of the house". As the king is the main person that the object is for anyway...he isn't letting on that he knows because he has a lot to lose. Husband is stuck in the middle of all this because the enforcer like all little girls and their fathers got him to do the deed and now husband is skurred!!! But if he doesn’t tell then he cannot get caught.
The officer is innocent...he knows nothing.

Uzezi said...

alright
i have updated o and the stalking continues but im sure its monday

famous 5 and nancy drew, agatha christie and even John grisham..have educuated me well...i say its TK, just like Nine. maguy is tired, hear me? tired of being intimidated by that thing, he has had enough, he has taken the power away from you...so you betta cal him in for interrogation! im sure he is sittin somewhere feelin all smug with himslf :P

on the otherr hand! *ahem* you see, husband could be a suspect..once again, *ahem* but not for reasons of protecting TK..but er..maybe he has gone to read suggestion section in cosmo and has er..seen alternate, kinkier uses of the thing..and is er, waiting for a suitable time to tell ya! :D

and its def not TE..my lil Diva likes to be heard! so she needs to talk..the wife leader is of no use to her..:P:P

Uzo said...

Awwwwwwwwwww...LOl...you write pretty well...Have you found it yet? You sure the hubby isnt up to some kinkiness?

All suspects except SSD guilty a la Murder on the Orient Express. All children stood on their shoulders totem style and nicked the wife leader and gave to daddy for safe keeping. Anyway, this is your excuse for a holiday to get another one. I will come along to inspect them!

I think u shld get a new one and find a hiding place that only u will know for it.

LOL!!! too funny.

Husband,TE,TK, and bomboy all conspired together. Husband was threatened 2 the efeect that there will be no more kisses and cuddles until...so he brought it down hid in his wardrobe were TE got acess to it stole it and uses it against her brothers. if u check her doll house( i assume she has one) u will surely see it there.

oya, update!

ablackjamesbond said...

Ask your husband nicely.

Jackie said...

Glad you had such a great Mother's Day.

I suspect Husband is guilty LOL

Tininu said...

no, no, no ,no!! they have all got it wrong..after going through my extensive C.S.I collection. i have come up with a suitable prognosis of what might have occurred and here it is...

Firstly Husband will not have taken the wife leader off the door sill, because he would have deduced that the fact it is on the door sill means that it must have been put there by you. as none of the children are tall enough to put it there...

Upon closer inspection of the 1st photograph, i realised that the wife leader might fall off any minute because the right part of it is already off the ledge..
so i have concluded that the "wife leader" must have fallen down due to some other event such as the children were playing in the house and doors were slammed or balls were being thrown around.

Bomboy was probably the first to see the wife leader and as an infant his natural reaction was to put it in his mouth and taste... from this point one of the following things could happen..

Tk saw it in bomboy's mouth and took it away from it and hid it, as he could hear the husband coming in...

or the husband took it from bomboy's mouth and unknowingly discarded of it or moved it as he did not want bom boy choking on such an item..

and there you have it...

chief inspector, private constable ...tin-tin
